Learn clinical local anaethesic techniques – this Friday!

Want to learn more about the most important drug in dentistry?

Stanley Malamed and John Meechan will be at the Royal College of Physicians, London, this Friday talking about painless anaesthesia with an optional hands-on session to follow on Saturday.

Local anaesthesia forms the backbone of pain control techniques in dentistry and is the safest and most effective drug in all of medicine for the management and prevention of pain.

It’s used daily is most practices across the country, and by attending this seminar you will learn the best and least painful way to administer it to your patients.

Stanley Malamed and John Meechan will discuss the clinical differences in the currently available local anaesthetic formulations in the UK, how to select the appropriate drug formulation for a dental patient, factors which influence the effectiveness of these drugs, and the drug-related complications associated with their use, including overdose and allergy.

During this seminar, you will:
•    Examine the available local anaesthetics by their expected duration of clinical action
•    Discuss factors which alter the expected duration of action of local aesthetic drugs
•    Discuss the likelihood of occurrence of allergy and toxic reaction to local anaesthetics

In addition, there is an option to attend a limited attendance half-day hands-on session the next morning.

This hands-on session will give you the opportunity to gain clinical experience with the techniques and devices Stanley Malamed will discuss in the main lecture.

Places at the hands-on sessions are strictly limited to 25 delegates.

Be sure you are practising the very latest techniques and using the best type of anaesthesia for the procedure you are undertaking.
