Dental puzzles for kids

Children in dental practice waiting rooms can while away their time puzzling out the reasons for trying to achieve good oral health.

Children up to the age of 12 are invited to create a design which helps other young people know that having healthy teeth and gums can help a healthy body.

The competition is part of National Smile Month (18 May-17June) and ties in with the Brush for Health theme of the campaign.

Using a template which comes as part of the Smile Month display material created by Philips, the budding designers can use up to four colours to design and colour their entry.

This can then either be posted in a special waiting room entry box or sent directly to Philips by those who want to spend longer perfecting their masterpiece.

The winning design will be made up into a 15-piece puzzle tray and will go out to practice waiting rooms. The winner will also receive an inspiring art kit, plus a set of puzzle trays to give their friends and family.

In addition, they will win a Sonicare FlexCare for every member of their immediate family (up to a maximum of five).

Entries need to be completed by 27 June 2008 and the winning design will be made up into a puzzle for selected practice waiting rooms later this year.

Philips has already sent Smile Month kits to more than 1,500 selected practices.

If you would like to be a participating practice, please call 0800 0567 222.
