Julian English, Dentistry magazine’s managing editor has won the BDTA golf trophy for the third time.
English, also FMC’s editorial director, competed in the 2008 BDTA Annual Conference Golf Tournament, which took place at the PGA National Ireland, a course of international stature within the grounds of Palmerstown House, on Saturday 21 June.
Twenty golfers took part from the Association of the Irish Dental Industry and the British Dental Trade Association (BDTA) and Julian scored the highest number of Stableford points amongst BDTA member golfers.
Commenting on his victory, Julian said: ‘I am absolutely delighted at winning for a third time.
‘It is the tournament I look out for each year and this year I won with my head more than with the clubs.
‘On a tricky course with water on 15 out of 18 holes, I kept my ball out of the wet stuff until the last hole!’
The BDTA Golf Tournament is now in its 84th year. Julian previously won the award in 2004 and 2006.
