Dental student commits suicide

A final-year dental student committed suicide in India by jumping from the fourth floor of her college after she was upset by a lecturer, it’s alleged.

The 22-year-old student – Anjana Sanjith – was upset after her department head criticised her over her projects, friends claimed.

She suffered fatal injuries after jumping from the fourth floor of the dental college building at PMS College of Dental Science and Research in Thiruvananthapuram, India.

The police and college authorities maintain that the reason behind the suicide has yet to be ascertained.

The police added that a case has been registered and an investigation launched.
