2010 innovative dental student awards

The final of the Dentsply Student Clinician programme takes place in Edinburgh next month.

Supported by the BDA, the awards are designed to help students showcase innovative, original clinical and research work at undergraduate level.

It’s just one of the initiatives from Dentsply that support student education and development.

The Student Clinician Awards – being held Friday 5 February at the Balmoral Hotel, Edinburgh – will feature 14 finalists from teaching schools around the country presenting their research material for adjudication from three experts: Professor John Drummond, Professor Nairn Wilson and Professor Robert McConnell.

Dentsply will also be celebrating the success of the winners by hosting a reception and dinner, with a traditional Ceilidh for all entrants and participants in the programme.

A spokesperson for the company said: ‘Investing in the future of dentistry through a variety of student schemes, Dentsply is proud to deliver continued support to the dental professionals of tomorrow.’
