Dentists take ‘smile’ message to supermarket shoppers

Dentists took to standing outside a town’s supermarket recently to remind shoppers of the abundance of NHS dental treatment available.

All this week a 10-feet high mobile advertising poster has also been used to remind the public that NHS dentists in Taunton and Somerset are ready and waiting to sign up new patients.

Olusesan Popoola, a dentist with the Blackbrook Dental Practice, explains: ‘Everyone wants a bright, white smile and what better way of ensuring that your teeth and mouth stay in tip top condition than attending an NHS dentist.

‘There is no shortage of NHS dental treatment in Taunton or Somerset, but some people will only seek dental treatment when they have toothache. My advice would always be to take good care of your teeth and have an annual visit to an NHS dentist.

‘This is the best way to ensure problems are prevented. NHS dentists are ready and waiting to sign up new patients and that’s why we have been at the supermarkets in Taunton and across Somerset this week to remind people to sign up today and don’t delay.’
