Charity through dental learning

DentEd is a leading provider of continuous professional development (CPD) for both dentists and dental Care professionals (DCPs).

Courses range from dental radiography to cross infection control to specialist practice related subjects on taxation, law and finance.

DentEd’s charitable drive has seen them make donations to a number of worthy causes.

Most recently, DentEd has committed to supporting the well known global oral health charity, Dentaid.

Later this year, DentEd will be the first to support a new Dentaid initiative to help an orphanage in Cambodia in southern Asia.

DentEd’s forthcoming events in Birmingham (25 October) and London (22 November) are anticipated to sell out, much like previous events.

DentEd’s organisers say: ‘The events usually get booked up because dental professionals need to undertake core CPD topics at competitive prices and want to do something good to support Dentaid in the process – it is a win-win.’

They add: ‘We are also acutely aware of the changing dynamic within the dental fraternity, so we always aim to complement our courses with a handful of expert sessions on practice management and business related themes.’

The event in London on 22 November is booking up fast and will be chaired by Andy Jong, Dentaid’s CEO.

The line-up of speakers includes Dr Richard DeCann and Mr Tim Reynolds delivering the afternoon’s clinical session on radiography and radiation protection.

Both are very well known on the lecturing circuit for engaging with their audience and bringing Radiography to life.

The clinical session will however follow other specialist speakers from money4dentists, Natwest bank and Hempsons Solicitors covering wealth protection, practice finance and legal ethics in the morning.

The event in Birmingham on 25 October will have specialist speakers joining us from Patient Plan Direct, money4dentists and Cohen Cramer Solicitors.
