One stop shop for dental implants

One of the country’s leading training providers to the implant dentistry sector is celebrating ongoing success with the recent expansion in the number of programmes it offers.

Dentale, which provides a diverse range of practical training courses on implantology through its dedicated clinics in the West Midlands and South West of England, has introduced a number of additional courses for dentists and nurses keen to learn the art of implant dentistry.

As well as its popular five-day Introduction to Implant Dentistry and 10-day Advanced Practical Implantology courses, the company runs a variety of other training programmes in areas such as sinus lifts and soft tissue augmentation, with restorative courses also coming soon.

Debbie Snelson, group manager for Dentale, explained: ‘For dentists interested in the increasingly popular world of implant dentistry, our courses are, in essence, a ‘one-stop shop’ that focus on giving delegates the hands-on surgical experience they require.

‘Unlike many other implant courses, we guarantee dentists work with cases from initial diagnosis, right through to placement and restoration. With our advanced course, participants will place at least 15 implants – in many cases they’ll actually place up to 25 implants, which gives them a unique opportunity for techniques to be perfected.

‘We also recognise the need for quality experience in dental nursing, so offer the National Certificate in Dental Nursing, as well as our Comprehensive Introduction to Dental Implants for Nurses and Advanced Implant Dental Nursing courses, all taught by experienced tutors in a true clinical environment.’

Dentale aims to develop an even greater number of clinically-based training programmes in the near future, aided by the appointment of the highly respected tutor Richard Oliver.

Debbie Snelson added: ‘Richard is making a huge difference in our ongoing endeavour for excellence in implant-based dentistry training. With dentists of his calibre helping to oversee the delivery and ongoing development of our training courses, it’s clear to see why the enrolment figures are growing at a phenomenal rate. Over the past year, the number of dentists we have successfully trained has increased by more than 250%.’
