Seaside dentist scoops Good Practice Award

A Somerset dental practice has been rewarded for its excellence with a BDA Good Practice Award.

College Street Dental Practice, Burnham on Sea in Somerset recently celebrated obtaining the BDA Good Practice Award in recognition of meeting the standards of good practice set by the British Dental Association.

The practice has been working towards the award for the past 18 months with retreat days, staff meetings, attending courses, and hard work, to ensure that they are able to provide their patients with an excellent care experience.

The 10-point Good Practice Scheme recognises consistently good treatment, high quality patient care, continuing professional development of staff, and rewards the efforts of the whole dental team.

The celebrations were attended by patients and staff, past and present, as well as the local Mayor Michael Clarke and his wife Mayoress Maria Clarke. The award was presented by Tessa Munt MP.

In his celebration speech, Colin Taylor, one of the practice partners, thanked all who attended, praising the hard work and exemplary attitude of the practice staff, as well as including a special mention for Andrew Warren, director of DPAS.

DPAS have been involved with successfully supporting the practice for many years and Colin referred to ‘the excellent service’ they receive in the administration of their dental plans.
