CODE takes over management of DPA

The Dental Professionals’ Association’s council has asked the CODE management team to administer the DPA.

CODE and DPA will stay completely independent organisation each with their own purpose.

The DPA is the political association for the whole dental team and CODE is there to help practice owners ‘comply and grow’.

It is also proposed to bring back the name of GDPA, respected for over 50 years in the profession.

On the CODE website, Paul Mendlesohn writes: ‘The CODE team has been asked by the Dental Professionals’ Association to manage it and bring a fresh innovative approach as we do with CODE.

‘An Association Management Agreement has been signed and we are putting together a team and a whole new way of working, to develop it, bring new services and a young enthusiastic representative team.

‘CODE and the DPA will remain completely separate associations, each with their own remit, CODE is to there to help practice owners and managers to comply, and grow their practices, and the DPA is the Voice of the Dental Team, the independent representative body. CODE members will benefit from increased discounts and savings on the CODE Buying Group as the two associations are much bigger when negotiating together and CODE members will also receive the DPA magazine.

There is a temporary web page at www.gdpa.co.
