The Office of Fair Trading’s (OFT) report of its inquiry into the UK dental market has been delayed due to the local election purdah.
The Office of Fair Trading (OFT) is currently re-examining whether the private and NHS dentistry markets are working well for patients‚ and this includes an investigation into how patients currently access dental care, including access to dental hygienists.
The conclusions of the report could have profound implications for dentistry in the UK.
But the OFT report has now been put back until around mid May because of the constraints imposed on Government announcements prior to the local elections.
