Kirsty Hague, company secretary said: ‘These supporters are some of the best from the industry, sharing in Hague Dental’s turnkey approach and all with one shared aim providing a personal service.’

Demonstrations from trade and pioneers in dentistry included Dr Ellis Paul and Jennifer Paul, dedicated to ergonomics and optimum positioning, who provided demonstrations on ‘Perfect Posture and Team Dentistry’ in the new showroom. Custom Design Limited demonstrated its new ‘Decontamination Pod’, a space-saving amazing HTM 01-05 solution in a 1.2m2 cabinet. Chiral Systems showed off its fantastic new practice management system and Acteon Satelec gave further insight into latest from the world of digital radiography.
The open weekend was sponsored by A-dec, Samera, Performance Finance, Alpha Flooring, Chiral Systems, TSL builders, Custom Design, W&H and Acteon Satelec. This enabled Hague Dental to film video testimonials to support its turnkey approach which can be viewed on at www.haguedental.com.

Smita Mehra, principal at the Neem Tree practice in south London, with Neel Jaiwal (Neel Dentistry) also provided video testimonial outlining their experience of working with Hague Dental.
Hague Dental Supplies is a major dental equipment company operating from south London. The company is a jack-of-all-trades and a master of many.

The company supplies dental equipment getting involved in the process at any level desired by the practitioner. Hague Dental Supplies can simply supply goods or provide consultation, advice, design and planning, project management, installation and engineering support.

New or second-hand equipment is supplied and can be viewed and tested from the large showrooms in south London (3,000 square feet) and Dorking, enabling the company to provide practitioners with a choice of top-quality brands to suit style and budget. Whether new or second-hand equipment, Hague has the expertise and experience to advise to the right choice.
The 3,000 square feet of display space has been renovated over the last year to include a reception and waiting area, digital demonstration area, three areas dedicated to HTM 01-05 solutions, as well as 12 packages of equipment and a separate showroom of part exchanged and used items.

History
Hague Dental Supplies is a family company first set up by Jim Hague. He started 15 years ago as an engineer for a dental equipment company. He built a strong reputation for finding and delivering great servicing for dental practices in and around London. He became known for always and quickly supplying a load item if anything broke down in surgery. And today it is the company’s ethos to continue this tradition. Hague will only work with customers located within two hours in an emergency. Hague wants to keep the best quality of servicing and engineering and maintenance contracts.

‘My intention when setting up Hague Dental Supplies was to focus on the dental profession and what kind of service I would like to receive if I were a dentist.

‘I believe that a blend of general qualities such as friendliness, communication, reliability, flexibility and punctuality should be paired with technical support (from trained and skilled staff), short lead times and access to the right products at the right price,’ said Jim Hague.

Over the years the company has grown considerably, and it still strives to provide a support team that is focused on these simple objectives. Hague Dental Supplies has built our reputation by ensuring our clients have the minimum down time.

Products
Hague specialises in project management, design and planning of dental surgeries. Hague manages a team of engineers with a profound knowledge of dental equipment and the dental industry.
The company offers bespoke cabinetry, reupholstery and compressor vessel testing and maintenance contracts for CQC compliance. The 10-strong team are all expects in their field and 80% of the staff having come from an engineering background.
Over the years, Hague has developed a range of products to provide equipment from leading manufacturers. Being independent, it is free to supply the best quality to suit individual needs, whether an individual item or a complete surgery is required. Hague only sources products from reputable manufacturers.

Equipment packages come from A-dec, Tridac and Takara Belmont, Acteon, Satelec and a wide range of suppliers. A full range of disinfection and decontamination products is available including washer disinfectors, autoclaves, ultrasonic baths and so on.
All the different options for digital imaging are covered from traditional to 3D digital X-ray.

Design and planning
Hague has refined its design and planning system to benefit the practitioner looking for a complete installation package.
The initial visit is followed up by conceptual drawings, in order to achieve the most satisfactory scheme. It may be that a dozen schemes are presented to the practitioner and that a further blend of a few of these, gives the best solution. Once this has been determined, Hague moves on to the more detailed design. The showroom is also used for training courses by companies like Samera.

Testimonials

Dr Shar, of 742 Garrat Lane, Earlsfield, London SW17, said: ‘As I was looking for equipment and furniture for two surgeries this event gave me a chance to spend time looking at the equipment in more depth and a chance to try out equipment. I could compare the equipment and choose something that I and my associates could work with and would be economical and importantly last the distance.’

Dr C Sieger Millinson, of Gray’s Inn Road, Holborn, London WC1,  said: ‘A fab opportunity to see equipment in the non-rushed situation. Thank you for the coffee and croissant. Very handy to have the engineers present rather than the ‘often not so well-informed salespeople’ you would meet at dental exhibitions.’

Ashley Byrne, from Byrne Dental Laboratory said: ‘Setting up a new practice is never an easy task but the open day at Hague dental made that task incredible easy. From the dental chairs to the flooring, there was every technical expert on hand and they answered all our questions and queries. Seeing all the equipment set up made choosing the surgery easy and being able to sit and use it ensured I was buying what was right for me and the way I work.  We would highly recommend the open day at Hague dental and if I was ever to set up a second surgery, I would ensure I waited till the open day to make sure I was buying the right equipment again.’
Selina Sufraz of Trinity Fields Dental Practice, Wandsworth Common, added: ‘It was a useful and helpful to get in-depth consultations regarding equipment and software. I found it to be time well spent as all my questions were dealt with in thoroughly and I did not feel rushed.’

Conclusion
I said earlier that Hague Dental is a jack-of-all-trades and a master of many. This is true. From second hand equipment to design and planning, to maintenance contracts to decontamination pods, Hague is an expert in all these areas. Having seen the showroom, seen the excitement generated at the open weekend and after meeting the dedicated team at Hague Dental Supplies, I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending the company to practitioners in need of equipment, design and practice furnishing.
