An online learning resource, the ‘Ultimate implant year course’ 2012/13 from Smiletube.tv, starting in September, allows delegates to learn at their own pace in the environment of their choice and at a time that suits them.
The course enables delegates to acquire the skills necessary to place and restore dental implants
in a safe and pre-determined manner.
The programme incorporates:
· A one-day residential introduction/induction event
· Assessed online modules via e-learning
· Eight days at the clinical training centre of each delegate’s choice
· A final residential examination.
Smiletube.tv is headed by Dr Ken Nicholson BDS, MSc (ImpDent), the academic lead at the School of Postgraduate Medical and Dental Education, University of Central Lancashire, and an associate fellow of Warwick Medical School’s Institute of Clinical Education.
Ken is also the founder of the British Society of Oral Implantology.
Applications for the next ‘Ultimate implant year course’ are now being considered.
