Christmas will come early for some lucky delegates attending the lectures on the Philips stand at BDTA Showcase with a ‘12 Days of Christmas’ prize draw and a chance to win a fantastic range of Philips consumer products.
An education lecture theatre is being erected on stand K16 and speakers include Professor Damien Walmsley, talking about ‘Power to the People’, and Zaki Kanaan – recently appointed Philips’ dental advisor – who will be advising delegates about the implications of the EU tooth whitening ruling and the opportunities this presents. There’s a chance to gain CPD hours here, too.
Delegates are also being encouraged to try two of Philips’ latest innovations for themselves in brushing booths on the stand – the multi award-winning and recently BDHF-accredited Sonicare AirFloss and Philips‘ other award winner Sonicare DiamondClean.
Also on show, Philips’ most recent home whitening innovation, Zoom DayWhite 6%. This differs significantly from any other home whitening system available because it contains Amorphous Calcium Phosphate (ACP), which combines with fluoride and bonds with the enamel to provide advanced protection, improved luster and shine, with reduced sensitivity when compared with teeth whitened without ACP.1
Crucially, Zoom DayWhite 6% HP with ACP is compliant with the new European Commission regulations preventing the sale of whitening products containing more than 6% hydrogen peroxide. An additional benefit is the dispensing dual-barrel syringe system developed by Phillips, which provides greater gel stability without the need for refrigeration.
In the last year the company has upped its focus on professional education still further with the introduction of a dedicated professional education manger; launched a transitional support programmed for dental hygienists and therapists; and introduced programmes for dental students and Foundation dentists.
The programme manager, Trisha Rawsthorne, is on the stand to advise anyone interested in being mentored.
