Practice Plan ‘down under’

Nick Dilworth, CEO of Practice Plan, said: 'We’ve been exploring several overseas markets over the last 12 months and Australia is a compelling fit for Practice Plan. We’ve had phenomenal feedback from our conversations and have spent the last few months getting everything prepared for launch. We’re really looking forward to supporting the Australian dental community and building on the reputation we have in the UK.'

The expansion into the Australian market also sees Sharon Robertson rejoin Practice Plan as operations manager, having emigrated to Australia four years ago. Since emigrating, Sharon has established her own successful dental consultancy business.

Nick added: '‘Overseas expansion is a fourth leg to our growth strategy, which includes continuing to support the growth of membership plans for practices in the UK, complemented by patient finance with Medenta which we acquired in October 2011 and offering our wider bank of business services to all dental practices in the UK via The Business of Dentistry brand, or BoD as it’s become affectionately known as.'

Stuart Gairns, CEO of the Australian Dental Association in Western Australia, commented: 'Having your patients as members of your practice means they turn to you for their advice and treatment services as their first choice.'
