Writer’s legacy raises funds for oral cancer

Proceeds from the book will go to to British Dental Health Foundation’s Mouth Cancer Action Month, the movement Richard helped kickstart.

Well known within dentistry, the late Richard Horner represented many dental companies, offering a range of services, from brand development to media planning and editorial services.

Nigel Carter, chief executive of the British Dental Health Foundation said: ‘He made an invaluable contribution in assembling all the key stakeholders together to create the first Mouth Cancer Awareness Week. Nearly 15 years on, it has now grown to be the UK's largest awareness raising event for mouth cancer, a condition about which Richard remained passionate throughout his later years.’

A family man at heart, Richard had a passion for cooking.

As a tribute to Richard's love of life, friendship and food, The Duck House Cookbook, completed in his final weeks, is a collection of his favourite recipes.

For a minimum suggested donation of £5, you can share in Richard's passion. By clicking on http://www.justgiving.com/The-Duck-House-Cookbook, you can download a copy of The Duck House Cookbook.
