OK, well the ‘no problem’ bit isn’t entirely accurate but nevertheless, after 31 of the longest days ever, the 11-strong team at Dental Design successfully completed the nation’s first ever Dryathlon – and raised a chunk of change doing it.
The campaign is a new fundraising initiative that challenges social drinkers to give up alcohol, for January, to raise money for Cancer Research UK. The money raised will fund the work of Cancer Research UK and help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.
Amy Rose-Jones of Dental Design said: ‘That was harder than the marathon! I found myself wanting a drink at times I’d not normally entertain the idea.’
Dental Design donated £50 to each team member that saw out the month (by some miracle, all 11), which alone has raised more than £550 for Cancer Research UK.
