The 2013 Colgate BDA seminar ‘Improving periodontal health in practice – preparing for care pathways and skill mix’ will be held on Thursday 25 April at 2.30pm in Theatre 4.  

Eric Rooney, Consultant in Dental Public Health, Cumbria and Lancashire PCTs, NHS Central Lancashire will chair the session Delivered by Anousheh Alavi, a specialist in Periodontology; and Scientific Affairs Manager for Colgate.

This session will give an understanding of the role of care pathways, with particular focus on the periodontal care pathway in delivering evidence based optimal care. The use of skill mix will be reviewed to consider an effective team approach to the delivery of periodontal care, along with a review of the evidence based strategies for improving patient self-care.
