Wrigley launches new sampling unit

Dental professionals know that chewing sugarfree gum after eating and drinking is clinically proven* to maintain healthy pH levels and defend against plaque acid attacks, but do patients?

The Wrigley Oral Healthcare Programme is dedicated to assisting dental professionals in their vocation to improve the oral health of their patients, and is making it as simple as possible for dentists to communicate the oral care benefits of chewing sugarfree gum to patients with a new sampling unit, which is designed with strong benefit messages and an invitation to ‘take a free sample’.

Available for dental practices to order free from wrigleyoralhealthcare.co.uk, the new Extra sampling unit is filled with 300 two-piece samples.

Post-it notes on the unit function as simple hand-outs for patients to take with their samples and also make handy wrappers for gum disposal.

Louisa Rowntree, Wrigley Oral Healthcare programme manager, explains: ‘Our mission is to help dental professionals improve their patients’ oral health by making it as simple as possible to recommend chewing sugarfree gum and communicate the clinically proven benefits of chewing to patients. We recognise that many of our loyal dental professionals make repeat orders from the website so that they can continue their sample offer to patients, so we have streamlined the process and developed re-fill bags so that the units can be retained for replenishing.’

The science behind chewing is simple – chewing sugarfree gum after eating and drinking stimulates the flow of saliva which washes away food debris, helps neutralise damaging plaque acids and remineralise tooth enamel*. The proven benefits of chewing sugarfree gum provide a strong reason to recommend chewing sugarfree gum to patients.
