The 2013 National Dental Nursing Conference will this year be held at the NEC Birmingham alongside Dental Showcase, to allow delegates the opportunity to benefit from both events with minimal travel costs and disruption to work schedules.
The Conference, which will take place on Thursday 18 and Friday 19 October 2013, is open to all members of the dental team and offers up to 8 hours verifiable CPD.
The Conference programme allows delegates to choose which sessions they wish to attend and time to visit the Showcase exhibition.
The Conference fee depends on whether delegates attend one or both days, and the number of sessions chosen – current BADN members enjoy special discounted rates.
The Keynote Speaker is Dr Nigel Carter OBE, Chief Executive of the British Dental Health Foundation. The Conference programme also includes sessions on:
- Intra-oral photography
- Child trafficking
- Forensic dental identification
- Tooth whitening
- Role of the Macmillan oral health practitioner
- Medical emergencies (double session)
- New GDC Standards (with emphasis on social networking)
First-time delegates and new BADN members are invited to a special Meet the President event on Friday or Saturday.
Generous sponsorship from the BDTA has allowed BADN to keep Conference fees low – the registration fee for a current BADN member attending both days is just £25 (£15 for one day) plus a session fee of £5 per session.
The Conference fee includes the opening and/or closing ceremonies and buffet lunch/refreshments.
Delegates can also join incoming President Fiona Ellwood at a pre-Conference informal dinner at Jimmy Spices in Solihull on Thursday 17 October.
Conference registration is on line with payment by debit/credit card required at time of registration. For more details and to reserve a place, visit www.badn.org.uk/conference.
