Honorary life vice president of BDHF

The presentation took place in May 2014 at The Ivy in London, during the launch of National Smile Month, which runs from 19 May – 19 June.

Following in the footsteps of his father John M Davis, who was one of the founding members of the BDHF in 1971, Daniel continued to be involved as a board member and then president in supporting the foundation.

The award recognised the exceptional service given during his term of office.

Daniel said: 'I am honoured to have been made life vice president of the British Dental Health Foundation.

'The BDHF is a fantastic charity, which has implemented many activities over the years, resulting in a steady increase in oral health education, with National Smile Month reaching tens of millions of people over the past 35 years.

'I have greatly enjoyed my time on the board and look forward to continuing to work with the BDHF to achieve its mission of improving oral health.'
