Implant dentistry moving forward

Entitled ‘Implant Dentistry Moving Forward: Experience – Evidence – Excellence’, ADI (Association of Dental Implantology) president, Philip Friel, and ADI scientific coordinator, Stephen Jacobs, have invited highly respected, world-renowned speakers to form an event that is unparalleled in the dental implant industry.

‘The biennial ADI Team Congress has now become the leading dental implant meeting in the United Kingdom and one of the foremost in Europe, with a unique combination of a plenary programme with internationally renowned speakers, parallel sessions for all dental care professionals, a large exhibition and a fantastic party,’ said Philip Friel.

‘The ADI Team Congress format aims to involve and educate the entire dental implant team, with a high-quality scientific plenary programme for clinicians running alongside a technician programme and a team programme, which includes sessions for dental nurses, practice managers and hygienists and therapists.

Speakers confirmed for the plenary programme include Edward Allen, Daniel Buser, Christian Coachman, Paul Fugazzotto, David Garber, Curtis Jansen, Gerald McGarry, Michael Norton, Isabella Rocchietta, Maurice Salama and Clark Stanford.

The technicians’ programme features Christian Coachman and John Wibberley, providing a full day of education through lectures entitled ‘The smile design revolution – management, communication and implementation’ and ‘The challenges of creating aesthetic excellence in full arch implant cases – insights from the viewpoint of a dental and clinical dental technician’.

Team Programme delegates will attend a series of sessions together, then split for dedicated streams for dental nurses and practice managers, and hygienists and therapists, both of which have a choice of interactive workshops.

Speakers include Anthony Bendkowski, Joe Dickinson, Ashley Latter, Jamie Maguire, Adam Noble, Craig Parker, Kia Rezavandi, Donald Thomson, Karen Walker, Nicola West, John Wibberley and Zoe Wray.

A major trade exhibition will run concurrently throughout the two and a half day event, featuring over 65 exhibitors, showcasing the many increasingly diverse technologies and product lines within the dental implant market.

New to this year’s event is the pre-congress corporate forum programme, offering a unique and significant opportunity to view the latest research and development in the dental implant market, through sessions sponsored and hosted by key ADI company members.

The full programme of hosts, speakers and topics is available on the ADI website.

Another new addition to the event is a unique audience response session (ARS), allowing the audience ‘at the moment’ interaction, specific to a treatment scenario, when debated by three expert speakers.

The ADI poster award is now open where clinicians, technicians, academics and research students involved in implant dentistry are invited to submit a poster on research of any dental implant related topic.

The prize of £500 will be presented to the winner at the end of the plenary programme.

Submissions for this award must be submitted to ADI by 30 January 2015.

To complement the education programme, the ADI Team Congress 2015 will be hosting two key social events, for excellent networking opportunities.

The Congress Drinks Reception is complimentary for all delegates and held on the first night of the congress, within the vast exhibition hall.

‘A night at the museum’ is the congress dinner event, to be held at the stunning Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, promises a memorable night, full of dinner, drinks and dancing within a breathtaking environment.

Early bird delegate fees are offered for the ADI Team Congress 2015, which offer members and non-members alike a considerable discount on the delegate fee, if booked in advance.

To attend the event, or for exhibitors to book a stand in the exhibition hall, the online booking process is simple and secure and can be accessed on the website: www.adi.org.uk/congress2015.
