Reena Wadia shorlisted for an Asian Professional Award 2014

Reena 2Reena Wadia has been nominated for an Asian Professional Award 2014 in the dentistry category.

The Asian Professional Awards recognise and celebrate the very best of Asian achievement across a range of professional sectors.

Reena was nominated by Dr Len D’Cruz.

She said: ‘I’ve been lucky enough to have Len’s guidance and mentorship over the last few years and I am very grateful for all of his support. I am honoured to have been shortlisted along with an incredibly talented group of professionals and hope this inspires other young dentists just as I have been inspired by my peers.’

After only having graduated from Barts and the London in 2011 Reena has amassed an array of achievements. Following general practice, Reena worked as a senior house officer in both restorative dentistry and oral surgery. Currently, she is completing her part-time specialty training in periodontology at Guy’s Hospital. She is also working in general practice at Harley Street Dental Group and Woodford Dental Care.

Aside from clinical work Reena is involved with the charity Make a Dentist and regularly contributes to dental journals. She is on the editorial advisory boards for Dentistry, DH&T and Young Dentist and was also announced as one of the Fast Track 4’s winners (a competition ran by Dentistry, Young Dentist and dentistry.co.uk, recognising the achievements of four young dentists in the UK).

Other candidates in the dentistry category are: Seema Sharma, Neil Patel and Kian Morteza Fazeli Niaki.

The awards take place on 27 November at the Emirates Stadium, London.
