Best young therapist/hygienist

Are you a dental hygienist or therapist under 30 working hard to prevent and treat oral disease. Show us how you go beyond the regular duty of care. Demonstrate your hard work and drive. Have you overcome any hurdles in your career so far? Do you have any evidence of a connection with the local community. Simply send up to 750 words including any, or a combination, of the following:

  • Show achievement in your career to date
  • Explain any hurdles you have overcome
  • Show how you are different to other young hygienists or therapists
  • Evidence of how you go beyond the regular duty of care
  • Provide training/Development information if relevant

This category is designed to recognise the UK practice with the strongest, best established and well thought out preventive ethos, whether it be private, NHS or mixed. As a team you will successfully communicate the oral health message to your patients, you will work together to raise oral health standards and regard prevention as your number one priority above all else.

  • Examples of clinical excellence

  • Evidence of prevention focused schemes
  • Include marketing plans/literature
  • Show how you connect with the local community

Best child-friendly practice

Can you demonstrate a great team approach to child dental health? Show us how you provide an innovative, excellent child dental health initiative.

Do you have a great team approach to treating nervous patients? Do you go above and beyond to help patients to relax and feel more comfortable in your practice? Provide us with credible and relevant testimonials to really get ahead in this category.

Ensuring easy access to quality oral care is a vital tool in ensuring the dental health of the nation. Do you have an innovative scheme for ensuring patients look forward to attending your practice and receive outstanding service, designed to meet their specific needs?

  • Explain what makes your scheme good

Dental Hygienist or Therapist of the Year 2016

All entrants into Best Young Hygienist/Therapist & Best Hygienist/Therapist will be automatically entered for this award. Judges will consider the following:

  • Demonstration of hard work and drive
  • Any hurdles you have overcome
  • How you have shown you are different from other professionals in your field
  • Training/Development
  • How you have shown you go beyond the regular duty of care
  • How you have shown how you connect with the local community
  • Patient testimonials
  • Supporting evidence and pictures.

You can enter as many categories as you like. Simply call the awards team on 01923 851 779 to register your details. The entry fee is £20 + VAT per category, however, pre-register your entry by the 4 September 2015 and pay just £10 + VAT per category. Send your entry in by the closing date of 2 October using an online file sharing service such as Dropbox or Wetransfer.com or by uploading your entry onto a USB stick to posting it to DH&T Awards, FMC, Hertford House, Farm Close, Shenley, Hertfordshire WD7 9AB.
