The prestigious Private Dentistry awards have appointed a new judge.
Zaki Kanaan joins an already distinguished panel of judges that includes David Houston, Mervyn Druian and Julian Caplan amongst others.
Zaki is a well-known respected implant and cosmetic dentist. He features prominently on the lecture circuit both nationally and internationally, lecturing on all aspects of cosmetic dentistry with a special interest in dental implants, where he has achieved a Masters Degree from Guy’s Hospital in 2001. He also has a Diploma in Sedation, a Diploma in Hypnosis and is a Licentiate of the Faculty of Homeopathy.
He is a Past President of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry where he has sat on the Board of Directors for over eight years with various roles including Chair of Regional Meetings, Chair of Trade Relations and Scientific Director prior to becoming its President in 2013/14.
He has received a number of accolades over the years, the most recent of which was at the Private Dentistry Awards in 2014 for ‘Outstanding Contribution to Private Dentistry’. In 2012 he was also judged by his peers as ‘UK Dentist of the Year’ at the Dental Awards. After coming runner up in Private Dentistry’s poll of the top 20 Elite Dentists in the UK in 2011 and 2012, it was 3rd time lucky when he topped the poll in 2013 as well as 2014. He also features regularly in Dentistry’s poll of the Top 50 most influential dentists in the UK.
Zaki is Director of K2 Dental Seminars, where he has trained hundreds of dentists, hygienists and therapists in the art and science of whitening techniques. He works at several prestigious award winning dental clinics in central London, The City, Harley Street and also runs K2 Dental, a private practice in the heart of Fulham Palace with his wife Dominique, also a dentist.
