The congress highlight for regenerative dentists

Osteology PhotoFrom 21-23 April 2016, the International Osteology Symposium returns to Monaco.

Don’t miss it, and be part of it when international experts from science and practice delve intensively into the current status of knowledge and research in oral tissue regeneration, discussing the latest treatment concepts, techniques and materials in regenerative dentistry.

In 2016, Monaco is once more the place-to-be for all oral and maxillofacial surgeons, periodontists and oral health professionals interested in implant dentistry and regenerative therapies. With its exceptional climate and well-preserved lifestyle, Monaco is the meeting point of Mediterranean and international cultures – and in April 2016 also for every scientist and practitioner who wants to find out more about the ‘why’ and the ‘how’ in regenerative therapy.

Over 2,500 participants from 60 countries are expected at the congress, which is held every three years and for many is a notable event in the congress calendar.

Addressing the open questions in regeneration

The scientific chairmen of the congress, Friedrich Neukam, Germany, and Myron Nevins, USA, have put together an outstanding scientific programme under the motto ‘Learning the why and the how in regenerative therapy’, which addresses the many open questions that dentists still face in everyday work in practice.

First the why. Why are certain procedures necessary? Why do we have to treat in a specific way? Why do complications occur? Why are outcomes sometimes so difficult to predict? Why are aesthetics so important? And why we still don’t know the answers to so many of these questions?

And then also the how. How do we treat a certain indication? How does tissue heal optimally? How do we achieve the best possible result? How do techniques influence results? How to deal with complications? And how to answer all these open questions?

No fewer than 85 internationally renowned speakers will try to answer as many questions as possible, with the aim to give practitioners the relevant knowledge for their daily practice and the confidence to provide their patients with the best possible treatment.

In presentations and discussions, experts will discuss the topics based on evidence from research, study data and master clinician’s experience. Aside from the lectures, the International Osteology Symposium wishes to encourage all participants with interactive sessions to contribute experiences and stimulate discussion.

New in 2016: master clinician courses

The programme will be supplemented by a large poster exhibition and a research forum, as well as many practical and theoretical workshops and master clinician courses. The latter are held for the first time and are included in the registration fee.

Registration will open in October 2015 via the website www.osteology-monaco.org.

Abstracts for posters and the research forum, for which the best research work presented will be awarded prizes, can be submitted until 1 December 2015.
