Benefitting every dental practice

MicrophonePractice Plan secures the Dental Business Theatre at next year’s Dentistry Show.

It has just been announced that Practice Plan, one of the UK’s leading providers of practice-branded patient membership plans, will be hosting the Dental Business Theatre at next year’s Dentistry Show on 22 and 23 April 2016 in Birmingham.

Following the success of the Business Skills Workshop Theatre hosted by Practice Plan at Dentistry Show 2015, show organisers Closerstill Media approached Practice Plan to host next year’s theatre and provide a business lecture programme with a difference.

Commenting on the joint venture, Alexandra Haden from Closerstill Media said: ‘The Business Skills Workshops were incredibly popular this year so we’re really excited to not only welcome Practice Plan back to the show, but also to host their sessions in our Dental Business Theatre; the principal and largest theatre at the show.

‘We’re really looking forward to this new opportunity giving practice managers and practice owners the chance to refresh and develop their business knowledge and skills whilst attending the show.’

So, what’s in store for the theatre next year?

Well, you can certainly expect some innovative ideas and an informative and educational programme that every dental practice can benefit from.

There’s an exciting line-up of speakers including the famous faces of Sheila Scott, Chris Barrow, Ashley Latter, Laura Horton and Les Jones, who will all cover a wide range of business-related topics and industry insights together with some ‘new’ feature sessions never before seen at the Dentistry Show.

Just picture a group of experienced dental business speakers as they race against the clock to deliver the programme’s very own Pecha Kucha sessions. Pecha Kucha, for those not familiar with it, is a Japanese presentation style with a fast-moving and time-driven format where speakers will have just 20 seconds to present each of their slides before the next one advances automatically. Timing is key and Pecha Kucha certainly promises to be an entertaining session that you don’t want to miss.

‘Spin the Wheel’ sessions will also feature in the programme, which will see theatre host Les Jones kept on his toes as he spins a wheel packed with timely topics. When the wheel stops, he’ll give delegates a quick boost of top nuggets on that particular topic.

Verifiable CPD

All sessions in the Dental Business Theatre will be free to attend and will provide verifiable CPD. Full details of the programme and line-up will be available in January, so keep an eye out for more details being announced.

The Dentistry Show takes place on 22 and 23 April 2016 at the NEC in Birmingham.
