Joey Essex has undergone surgery for removal of his wisdom teeth.
The reality star had four wisdom teeth removed, and shared the experience with his fans via a series of snaps posted on Instagram.
In the first photo in the series, Joey shared a picture of himself wearing a hospital wrist band, captioned: ‘Ready to go’.
Post-surgery, The Only Way Is Essex star posted a picture of himself in his hospital bed, surrounded by his dental surgery team.
Said Joey: ‘4 wisdom teeth out this morning…Recovery so far is going well…ouchhhh’.

The Mask
Soon after, Joey shared a series of pictures of himself wearing a special face mask used to tackle dental pain.
Chilled water is pumped through the mask to relieve pain and swelling after oral surgery.
