Learn about minimally invasive dentistry with the experts

7, 8 OH Sept/Oct News.inddA one-day course on minimally invasive dentistry (MID) backed by King’s College London (KCL) promises to be the most comprehensive introduction to the subject outside a postgraduate qualification.

The MID Symposium runs on 30 September, featuring a programme of speakers hand-picked by Professor Avijit Banerjee, programme director for the MSc in advanced minimum intervention dentistry at the KCL Dental Institute.

The event will tackle a range of topics around the subject of MID, from clinical techniques and appropriate materials to explaining the concepts to patients and making it work financially in practice.MID timetable

David Bridges, a dual-qualified hygienist and therapist, will present a lecture that looks specifically at dental decay. His lecture, titled Cheating caries – risk assessment and management for DCPs will offer an alternative medical view of the disease and suggest a risk assessment model that may be of use in practice.
