New Good Practitioner’s Guide to Periodontology launched

good_practitioners_guide_2016 2-1The British Society of Periodontology (BSP) has launched its new Good Practitioner’s Guide to Periodontology.

The launch, which took place on 6 September at the offices of its publishing partner, Henry Schein, also saw the new online learning counterpart, the eGPG, presented.

The Good Practitioner’s Guide to Periodontology started out five years ago as the Young Practitioner’s Guide to help newly qualified dentists and their teams in clinic. It has been renamed to engage with its wider audience including students and every member of the general dental team.

A key development of the GPG is its online learning platform, the eGPG. This carries CPD hours and was created by Dr Fiona Clark of Atlas Education who is a BSP member and an expert in the field of e-learning.

The eGPG was demonstrated at the launch, showing clear navigation and valuable, evidence-based content.

This much anticipated new iteration of the guide is part of the BSP’s strategic plan to continue to support health professionals in the effective delivery of periodontal care.

The Good Practitioner’s Guide to Periodontology is available to download as a free PDF from the BSP website. There are also a limited number of free printed copies that are available by contacting the BSP at [email protected].
