Catch The Singing Dentist at Showcase

Smiling dentistThe Singing Dentist joins the line-up of Practice Plan‘s Business Skills Theatre speakers at this year’s BDIA Dental Showcase.

Practice Plan will once again be hosting its on-stand Business Skills Theatre at the annual BDIA Dental Showcase taking place next month, but this year it will be shaking things up with its best theatre line-up to date, providing delegates with a three-day programme that is more inspiring and engaging than ever before.

Dr Milad Shadrooh, also known as ‘The Singing Dentist’, is the latest name to be added to the line-up of speakers featuring in the Business Skills Theatre. Milad will deliver a 30-minute session focusing on his personal story of breaking down barriers with patients, finding new and inventive ways to communicate key dental messages and where that journey has taken him.

The Singing Dentist burst on to the media scene earlier this year with his video parodies of well-known songs encouraging children and adults alike to improve their oral hygiene – these videos have now gone viral, attracting millions of views from all over the world.

In addition to his talk, The Singing Dentist will launch his brand new video exclusively on the Practice Plan stand on Thursday 6 October, so head on over to stand G40 to be part of the buzz.

Pechakucha hour

Also new to Dental Showcase is Practice Plan’s ‘Pechakucha hour’, which will feature headline industry names including Simon Tucker, Tony Kilcoyne, Les Jones, Ian Wilson, Nigel Jones and Alan Suggett, all presenting their tips in a
time-restricted frenzy.

For those of you not familiar with the format, Pechakucha is a Japanese presentation style with a fast-moving and time-driven format where speakers have just 20 seconds to present each of their 20 slides before the next one advances automatically. Timing is key here with each speaker having just under seven minutes to deliver their entire presentation – a session not to miss.

Big names continue to be added to the line-up for the Business Skills Theatre, with Pat Langley, Chris Barrow, Sheila Scott, Sarah Buxton and Andy McDougall all confirmed as hosting sessions. Topics will range from essential information you need to know about remaining compliant with the Care Quality Commission, through to what business performance measures you should routinely perform in your practice.

Exciting programme

Speaking of their plans for the show, Gayle Collett, Practice Plan’s head of marketing, commented: ‘We’re really excited to bring this programme to the show – the theatre gives us a great opportunity to catch up with our existing clients and also those who aren’t Practice Plan members but want to keep abreast of the latest developments in the business of dentistry. For us, the theatre demonstrates our personality – it’s about being serious about business, but having some fun in the process too.’

BDIA Dental Showcase will take place on Thursday 6 to Saturday 8 October 2016, and this year delegates will get to take in the sights of the capital as the show returns to the Excel in London. To book your places for any session in the Business Skills Theatre, visit www.practiceplan.co.uk/events.
