Ivoclar Vivadent has launched a new Direct Restoratives Masterclass to complement its existing education portfolio; led by one of the UK’s most prominent cosmetic dentists, Dr Christopher Orr.
Voted the most influential private practitioner in the UK by the readers of Private Dentistry in 2013, Dr Orr practices cosmetic and restorative dentistry in his multidisciplinary clinic in central London, where he is especially popular among peers in the industry.
Dr Orr describes the one day masterclass as a ‘systematic anatomical approach to composite layering and replicating natural tooth colour, delegates will be using Ivoclar’s Empress Direct to demonstrate a multi-shade layering technique.
‘Consideration will be given to single shade placement versus multi-shade layering, highlighting colour in dentistry, efficient use of shade guides, adhesion to tooth tissue finishing, as well as polishing and aftercare of the composite restoration.’
This extensive course also offers a hands-on, practical session for attendees, applying tooth preparation and the use of a putty guide for layering on pre-prepared models for various canine and incisor exercises.
Dr Orr’s Direct Restoratives Masterclass will be held in Leicester (24 April), Wakefield (15 September) and Manchester (8 December).
