Global superstars ready to fly at Dentistry 17: Stars of Dentistry

Heralded as the UK’s premier dental event, Dentistry 17: Stars of Dentistry is set to return to London this June.

Having raised the bar at Dentistry 16, this year’s five-star dental symposium is sure to bigger and better than ever before, promising to deliver a stunning speaker line-up, an unrivalled educational programme, core and verifiable CPD, delicious catering and fantastic networking opportunities at the Champagne and canapés after-party with the stars.

Nominated for Event of the Year at the IPAC Awards 2016, this year’s dental symposium will tackle some of the hottest topics in dentistry to date, including smile design, creating and managing gingival beauty and the new approach wellness approach to perio.

New heights

Global dental superstars flying across the Atlantic and landing in London on 23 June include Dr Gerard Chiche, Dr Gary Zelesky, Dr John Cranham, Dr Tim Donley, Dr David Hornbrook and Dr Maurice Salama.

John Kois

In a world exclusive, Dr John Kois, the founder and director of the Kois Centre, will be answering questions via a live video stream from Seattle.

He maintains a private practice limited to prosthodontics and is an affiliate professor in the graduate restorative programme at the University of Washington.

Places for this session are limited, so registration is vital.

Gerard Chiche

Director of the Centre for Aesthetic and implant Dentistry at Georgia Regents University in Georgia, USA, Dr Chiche will be landing in London on 23 June to lecture specifically on smile design, bonding and aesthetic materials.

His presentation will provide key points into a systematic step-by-step approach to resolve aesthetic problems with predictable results and improved laboratory support.

Dr Chiche is the recipient of the 2003 LSU Alumni Award, the 2003 Award of the Seattle Study Club for the best dental educator of the year and the 2007 Distinguished Lecturer Award of the Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontics.

In 2009, he became the first recipient of the Endowed Chair, sponsored by the Thomas P Hinman Dental Society.

Gary Zelesky

Motivational speaker Gary Zelesky is sure to pack his hallmark humour and practical content for his session on the encore principal – how to leave them wanting more.

In addition to revealing how you can maintain high levels of momentum in a mundane day-to-day work environment, and explaining how to remain productive, delegates will leave his session having discovered six outlooks that will change the way people see themselves and having learnt the power of ‘all in’ all the time with everyone.

John Cranham

Dr John Cranham will be joining forces with Dr Ian Buckle on 23 June to present the interdisciplinary dentistry dilemma: are we speaking the same language.

The aesthetic dentistry superstars will offer clear goals for treatment and explain how to ensure that everyone involved in the care of the patient is on the same page.

By the end of the session, delegates will not only understand the concept of goal-orientated treatment planning and why design of the system is of paramount importance, but also understand how to utilise both analogue and digital methods to ensure optimal results.

The pair will also present a special one-off workshop, limited to 20 places.

Tim Donley

A leading expert in periodontics and dental implants, Dr Tim Donley will introduce the new wellness approach to perio.

This presentation will not simply be about the oral-systemic link; it will explain how to use the latest evidence to make better treatment decisions.

Presenting a wellness-based approach to patient management, Dr Donley’s session is sure to improve delegates’ perio outcomes and patient satisfaction.

David Hornbrook

Dr David Hornbrook, pioneer of live dental education, will delve into today’s ceramic systems. Covering what’s available, when to use what and preparation design to maximise long-term success, Dr Hornbrook’s session will provide a thorough understanding of the cementation systems that will optimise results.

Maurice Salama

Implant dentist, Dr Maurice Salama, specialist in orthodontics and periodontics, will be presenting the soft tissue profile: creating and managing gingival beauty.

The session aims to delineate the 10 essential steps to complete aesthetics, as well as the specific techniques to facilitate optimal smile design.

Dr Salama will help delegates understand the use of multidisciplinary therapies to achieve successful outcomes, and the integral role that implants and endo play in this new millennium.
