Educational opportunities at Dental Technology Showcase

Technology in the dental field is an enhancement for patient care and a conduit for communication between dentist/technician and patient/practitioner. It’s not about ‘replacing’ anything, although it’s hard to look back with rose-tinted spectacles at a time when a bridge didn’t fit properly and therefore required multiple appointments to fix, causing frustration and discontent all round.

It’s important, then, to embrace what technology can do and where it might take you, and stay connected to the latest developments by keeping your knowledge fresh. The reality is that being in the high-pressurised dental lab environment on a daily basis, performing exacting tasks, it’s easy to fall behind with what’s going on. The Dental Technology Showcase (DTS) 2018, co-located with the British Dental Conference and Dentistry Show, is a free-to-attend education and trade event for dental technicians. Over two days, you can enjoy exciting lectures delivered by some of the leading lights in the industry. You and your colleagues can get inspired, gain advice and learn about all that is new on the market. There will be something for everyone: whether you need support with the digital workflow, want to know more about the latest in CAD/CAM or have questions about business-related matters, you will find the answers at DTS 2018.

The exhibition floor will be home to some of the biggest names in the trade, showcasing their products and services. Whatever you see in the press or view online, there is no substitute for being able to touch, feel and hold a piece of equipment before making a purchase. Of course, what DTS 2018 also offers is a fantastic networking opportunity! You’ll get the chance to meet friends old and new and connect face-to-face with professionals and manufacturers who may challenge your point of view and get you thinking outside the box. Hours of verifiable and general CPD are also available for the whole team.

DTS 2018 will be held on Friday 18 and Saturday 19 May at the NEC in Birmingham, co-located with the British Dental Conference and Dentistry Show. For further details, visit www.the-dts.co.uk
