Dental awards, why bother?

If you’ve thought about entering dental awards, but wondered if they’re worth your time, the British Lingual Orthodontic Society’s (BLOS) Lingual Study Club is not to be missed.

On Thursday 22 February, Dr Megan Hatfield will be sharing seven years’ experience of entering and judging dental awards in her talk ‘dental awards, why bother?’.

Megan swept the board in the orthodontic categories at the 2014 Smile Awards, which also saw her win Aesthetic Dentist of the Year.

She is now a judge for the Aesthetic Dentistry Awards (formerly The Smile Awards), so perfectly placed to advise orthodontists on how to create a winning entry.

During her presentation, Megan will share her experience of dental awards as both a judge and participant – and present her winning lingual case.

The evening will also give delegates the opportunity to discuss their own lingual cases with the group and gain valuable feedback.

BLOS chairman, Sunil Hirani, comments: ‘Dental awards are a fantastic way to promote your practice and boost team morale.

‘Next month’s Lingual Study Club provides a great opportunity to learn from Megan’s extensive experience and improve your chances of taking home a trophy.’
