To support the worthy campaign, Practice Plan has not only picked a song that is guaranteed to get you humming along, but its re-enactment of popular pop song video Selfie, aptly named #Smileyselfie, is sure to be a hit with practices joining in and taking its own #Smileyselfie for #NSM14.
The aim of the National Smile Month campaign is to ultimately improve the UK’s oral health, and with the help and enthusiasm of those who are passionate about health and wellbeing, 2014 will see hundreds of events and activities up and down the UK to educate and engage with local communities.
Gayle Collet, head of marketing, explains: ‘In a nutshell, National Smile Month, is the UK’s largest and longest running oral health campaign.
'It has three important oral healthcare messages to share: brush for two minutes twice a day using fluoride toothpaste, cut down on how often you have sugary foods and drinks, and visit the dentist regularly – they are simple and effective principles and Practice Plan wanted to make sure that it was supporting the BDHF (British Dental Health Foundation) to get the message out there.
'Practice Plan has had some great fun lately creating videos for charities, so it felt right that it supported this campaign in the usual Practice Plan video style.
'The team had a hoot producing it and we’d hate for you to miss out on watching it!’
So, view the video or head over to Practice Plan's facebook page and take a look, http://ow.ly/xyMQi.
And remember, it’s all for National Smile Month, which takes place between 19 May and 19 June and encourages anyone with an interest in good oral healthcare to join in and share the oral health messages.
So don’t be shy, why not grab a Smiley, take some snaps and get sharing them. #Smileyselfie #NSM14.
