A dental technician, convicted of child porn offences, is to be struck off the dental register.

John Stuart Martin, from Shrewsbury, was called before the General Dental Council (GDC) after magistrates convicted him on five counts of making indecent photographs of a child earlier this year.

Now the GDC says its only option was to strike Martin off the dental register to ‘protect patients and address the public interest'.
