A natural-looking crown – just what the patient ordered!
25th May 2010DTS has been working closely with other leading dental companies across the world to develop the translucency of zirconia so it can now be used beyond traditional zirconia frameworks.
One crown or bridge is a solid, strong, aesthetic piece of zirconia. It is hard sintered and can reach a final flexural strength of 1100MPa – and strength isn't the only thing Opalite has going for it.
DTS says that Opalite has an advantage, because there is no porcelain layer it can be used in occlusal reductions as small as 0.7mm – far less than standard PFM or layered zirconia/porcelain.
Though Opalite doesn't have porcelain coverage that doesn't stop it being aesthetic.
The improved translucency of zirconia means you and your patient end up with a smooth, glazed, natural-looking crown – just what the patient ordered.
Opalite is the future, DTS claims. Each and every crown and bridge is designed with digital CAD/CAM technology improving the detail and accuracy of every crown produced.
They can even be designed from your own digital impression files as well as traditional impressions and models, so you don't have to change what you do to give your patient the best results. The digital design gives your patient virtually perfect contact, fit and easy seating every time.
Opalite is an excellent non-mental alternative and, as zirconia is a tried and tested material, dentists know its strength and biocompatibility make it the solution of choice.
Opalite provides you and your patient with an excellent aesthetic, long lasting tooth. As it is milled from one solid block the final Zirconia crown is unbelievably strong and it can resist pressures which far exceed those in a patient's mouth.
DTS can provide you with Opalite to prescribe exclusively before any other UK dental lab.
