Dental company's MD gains recognition

Simon Gambold, managing director of the UK dental business for Henry Schein has been honoured by the BDA at a ceremony held in London.

The fifth British Dental Association Honours and Awards Dinner, an event supported by the British Dental Trade Association (BDTA), saw presentations made to more than 25 dentists and dental care professionals and Simon's name has now been added to the BDA Roll of Distinction in recognition of his outstanding service to UK dentistry.

As managing director of the UK dental business for Henry Schein since 1994, Simon has personally promoted many charitable projects through the global Henry Schein Cares Programme including local, national and international ventures.

Simon was responsible for the Henry Schein Minerva's initial involvement with Crisis Christmas, has long been an advocate of the work of the Jubilee Sailing Trust and more recently championed Henry Schein's support for the work of Bridge2Aid in Tanzania.

Simon has worked with key stakeholders to promote the interests of the dental community in Westminster and Brussels.

As a trustee of the British Dental Health Foundation, co-chair of the Henry Schein International Oral Health Advisory Committee, council member of the BDTA for 12 years and immediate past president of the of the same organisation, Simon's experience of and dedication to the dental market has now been recognised through this award.
