Dental students received a surprise when they arrived for their course at Derriford Hospital.

Some joker had adorned the phantom heads – used for training by the dental students – with red noses to mark Comic Relief's Red Nose Day last Friday.

The clinical skills laboratory at the hospital in Plymouth joined in the fund-raising antics that were organised by Bristol Dental Hospital.

Tea and coffee sales raised much-needed funds for the charity that helps projects at home and abroad in an effort to create a 'just world free from poverty'.
