Osborne Dental has been named the BDA Good Practice Scheme Practice of the Year for 2011.

The team from Jesmond, Newcastle, will be presented with their award at the 2011 BDA Honours and Awards Dinner, which takes place in London on 24 November.

Osborne Dental triumphed after a detailed assessment process that included a judge's visit to the practice and a separate visit to survey patients.

The award is judged on criteria including teamwork, corporate social responsibility and customer service.

Judges praised Osborne Dental's team and leadership and the way it has used the BDA Good Practice Scheme to develop an outstanding patient-centred service.
