PCT awards eve
19th May 2005More than 40 awards were presented at Milton Keynes PCT’s oral healthcare awards evening. It was attended by Dr Barry Cockcroft, deputy chief dental officer, for the department of health. Together with the regional director for dental and medical education, Dr Helen Falcon, they presented awards and certificates. Lisa Webb, the PCT’s NVQ tutor co-ordinator, commented: ‘The significance of the evening was to celebrate the achievement of dental nursing across Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire. ‘It is expected that dental nurses will have to be registered with the General Dental Council next year and to allow them to register they will have to be qualified. We are working hard at the Oral Healthcare Centre at Milton Keynes PCT to train dental nurses to enable them to achieve that registration.’ Special awards went to Allanna Davis, Sarah Pepper and Lera Lashmar. NVQ level 2 oral healthcare support awards went to Jennifer O’Mahoney, Janet Holman, Bilgin Hassan, Lucy Willans, Cynthia Wort, Morgan Williams, Karen Hickey, Caroline Galuszka, Katie Jordan, Terri Bostic. NVQ level 3 oral healthcare dental nursing went to Anna Barker, Caroline Jackson, Helen Bell, Bev Simpson, Margaret Margey, Helen Linder, Katherine Biggs, Emma Roberts, Christine Black, Sally Bates, Anthea Palmer, Marianna Walker, Sarah Pepper, Caroline O’Donovan, Michelle Cox, Lee-Ann Ingram, Wendy Bass, Gillian Currie, Danielle Fletcher, Linda Warren, Emma Roadnight, Suzanna McAllister, Kelly Carpenter, Karen Armitage, Christine Newby, Allanna Davis, Vicky Farley, Isabelle McCluskey-Brown, Kelly Hamidouche, Selcuk Ocal, Kim Chapman, Lera Lashmar, Margaret Stevenson, Odellia Millin, Tracey Mackie, Natalie Dow. Assessor awards were presented to Claire Moscrop, Janet Stewart, Jackie Owers, Letitia Dickinson, Joyce Krah, Jenni Jay, Amanda Peel, Pearl Hirst, Elizabeth Pummary, Zoe Whitworth and Lisa Webb.
