The International Academy of Advanced Facial Aesthetics’ (IAAFA) first annual conference will take place on 16-17 March 2007 at the London Marriott Hotel in Regents Park. The theme of the two-day event is Uniting Medical and Dental Professionals in the Field of Facial Aesthetics. It aims to give dental professionals an insight into facial aesthetics to encourage them to get involved with this growing sector. Speaking at the event will be Dr Bob Khanna, founder and president of the IAAFA, and Dr Mervyn Druian, a cosmetic dentistry guru. There will also be presentations from Dr Elaine Halley, Dr Christopher Orr and Dr Vijay Gohil. Together they will focus their discussions on the following topics: • Complications with using dermal fillers • Healthcare regulation updates • Facial chemical peels • Building the ultimate aesthetic practice • Lip repositioning surgery • Marketing aesthetic practices. The event’s first day will culminate in a charity black-tie dinner and dance, also to be held at the Marriott. Ticket prices are £85, which will cover the cost of entry, dinner and drinks. The cost of attending the conference is £295 for members of the IAAFA and £395 for non-members. For more information about the conference, or about becoming a member of the IAAFA, call 01344 891235 or email info@iaafa.net.
