A three-year-old girl suffering with toothache was denied treatment by a dentist because the surgery had run out of NHS funds. Bethany Reid was reportedly screaming in agony and her mum, Tracy White, assumed she would be treated because Bethany had been registered at the practice since she was born. But staff at the surgery in Frinton-on-Sea, Essex, said she would have to go elsewhere, or pay £60 for private treatment. Tracy, 29, told The Sun: ‘It was either pay or wait until April when funding will be available. My partner Paul and I pay our taxes. We couldn’t believe it.’ The couple eventually managed to get NHS treatment at another practice. North East Essex Primary Care Trust confirmed the practice was out of NHS funding, but said patients would be put in touch with other surgeries if needed.

i wonder about the parents who thinks free treatment is more important than getting their child out of pain and if they havent given so much sweet stuff and such like the child wouldnt be in that condition
