Sticker competition for youngsters
2nd Apr 2007Philips Oral Healthcare has developed an exciting sticker design competition to support the upcoming National Smile Month campaign. Dental practices will be eligible to receive a design kit for their waiting rooms in the build-up to the event, which launches on May 10 at the House of Commons. While in the waiting room, young patients will be encouraged to create a design to help promote good oral health among children. Each pack will contain entry forms and colouring pencils to allow the young designers to complete their masterpieces. The winning design will be made into a sticker and thousands will be distributed to dental practices the length and breadth of the UK. The winning designer will also be awarded a deluxe art set to continue their creative endeavours. The British Dental Health Foundation’s Smile Month message this year – to brush for two minutes, twice a day – dovetails neatly with research conducted by Philips which indicates that many patients only brush for 30 seconds before estimating that they have been brushing for two minutes. The Sonicare sonic toothbrush features a two-minute timer to encourage people to reach the optimum time limit recommended by dentists. Practices can obtain a free competition pack by calling Philips on 0800 0567 222.
