A cross discipline academy inaugurated
15th Oct 2005Amidst much rumour and speculation the International academy of advanced facial aesthetics (IAAFA) launched this month. There has been an huge increase in the uptake of procedures in facial aesthetics in recent years, particularly following on from heightened media attention and the on-going trends in the United States. Indeed, more and more dentists are becoming aware of the influence that dental rehabilitations can have on the overall facial appearance likewise, patients are increasingly seeking advice from dentists as well as plastic surgeons and dermatologists. The IAAFA aims to unite all dental and medical professionals providing treatments within the realms of facial aesthetics, i.e. from cosmetic dental Ssurgeons, oral-maxillofacial surgeons and dermatologists through to ENT and plastic surgeons.
