Media star René Caryol headlines this year's eagerly awaited Private Dentistry National Conference.

Tickets are still on sale for the event being held at the Russell Hotel in London next Thursday (27 November).

With a line-up featuring some of the profession's biggest hitters, the conference promises to be just as useful for those already in private practice as those considering making the transition.

The organisers have worked hard in bringing the best of the best to the stage, and one name in particular is sure to provide plenty of food for thought.
Media personality and business guru René Carayol will give the keynote speech, bringing the incisive business acumen he displayed on the BBC2 television programme Pay off your mortgage in 2 years to the matter of private dentistry.
Using the current uncertain financial climate as a backdrop, he will explain why strong leadership and effective teamwork are more important now than ever.
Anyone familiar with his television work on BBC2, Channel 5 and Sky News will know how his unfailingly practical messages are delivered with a dynamism that is sure to inspire his audience.
Following René's lecture, Kevin Lewis will keep the momentum going with his presentation entitled Promoting and selling private dentistry. The Dentistry magazine columnist will cover all aspects of this subject, offering tips for every member of the team while highlighting some of the main pitfalls that need to be avoided.
He will draw on case studies and his own extensive knowledge of dentistry to point out how easy it can be to fall foul of the regulations unless you adopt a well thought-out marketing strategy – and stick to it.
Paul Tipton, an editorial board member of Private Dentistry and one of the country's most requested speakers, will also take the stand. He will look at creating the successful dental business and consider how to create the ‘wow' factor in your practice – arguing that this is essential in today's dental spa and concierge practices.
Both Paul Tipton and Kevin Lewis will deliver other lectures throughout the day. As well as a question-
and-answer session with all the speakers, delegates will also be able to enjoy a demonstration of four-handed private dentistry from esteemed clinicians Martyn Amsel and Sally Chadwick.
The Private Dentistry National Conference follows in the footsteps of previous events such as Private Dentistry 07, and Private Dentistry with Paddi Lund, and is the ninth annual event specific to private practice put on by Independent Seminars.
Previous events have been wildly successful, and the strength of this year's roster gives no suggestion that 2008 will be any different.
More information about the conference can be found by visiting the website www.independentseminars.com or by calling 0800 371652.
