Plymouth University Peninsula Schools of Medicine and Dentistry has announced the launch of a new postgraduate certificate.
Plymouth University Peninsula Schools of Medicine and Dentistry have offered a diploma and Masters course in restorative dentistry.
The certificate includes two modules: the foundations of restorative dentistry; and restoring teeth and tissues. The diploma includes two modules in advanced restorative dentistry, while the Masters consists of a dissertation. The programme has been designed so that participants can continue with their working commitments.
Modules are six months in duration and the total time to obtain the full MSc is three years.
Each module consists of two days of hands-on consultant time and will allow students to develop enhanced restorative skills in endodontics, periodontology, fixed and removable prosthodontics and implant dentistry.
The programme, which starts in January 2014, will be led by a team of consultants in restorative dentistry, complemented by visiting clinicians and teachers.
Entry is open to graduates who are in dental practice in the UK or EU while on the programme, and they should hold a GDC registration.
Details about the programme and how to apply are available by logging on at www.plymouth.ac.uk/peninsula.
