A new entrant to compete with Denplan, Practice Plan and DPAS has announced its arrival in the marketplace. Claremont Limited, which has been in business for over 25 years, intends to compete on price and quality of service.
Claiming to be cheaper than the major providers, Claremont will charge only 58.75 pence (including VAT) per month per patient collection. Set up costs to the dentist will be limited to the postage on outbound letters to the patients, with Claremont paying all other costs.
The patients will not be required to pay anything to join the dentist’s scheme and only to pay the cost of a stamp to return the Dental Health Plan Agreement. Rob Williams, a director of Claremont Limited, says “The market is maturing and the rate of change to monthly plans from NHS and fee per item dentistry is quickening. This is rather like the airline industry with the arrival of low cost carriers, except our service will be the equal of any other provider and our charges a fraction of our competitors.”
Apart from claiming the lowest charges, Claremont’s services will cover the design of any number of plans tailored to the dentist’s specific requirements, marketing, patient mailings, response handling, contract set up, staff training, promotional literature, collection of fees and database management.
The dentist can also expect to benefit from a regular and possibly higher monthly income, complete clinical freedom, more time with each patient, a better balance between work and home life, and improved staff morale.
