Successful crown and bridge work is impossible without temporaries that fulfill certain criteria such as hard and soft tissue aesthetics, occlusion, durability and quality of fit.

Structur 2 SC is a flowable, self-curing composite with phased polymerisation. It can therefore be removed from minor undercuts before final hardening, without loss in accuracy of fit, extremely useful when removing multiple units or bridgework. Administered via a unique 50/50 cartridge system, an even mix of material is guaranteed.

Setting time is short, allowing quick final trimming and polishing. Gross adjustment is easily achieved using a polishing disk without risk of fracture, and a fine disk or polishing mop then creates a high luster final polish.

This type of result is easy to achieve given Structur 2 SC's accuracy and high polymerisation when set. This polished, hard margin helps minimize bacteria attracted to the surface while also being easier for patients to maintain. The temporary restoration plays a key role in maintaining soft tissue aesthetic and, often, actually helping to develop a new profile.

As both materials exhibit an extremely good bond and near seamless join, application of a layer of flowable composite or acrylic allows easy addition to margins. Neither material requires a special bonding technique, saving time, cost and trouble.

VOCO also offers a more aesthetic temporary material, Structur Premium, for use in the anterior region. This has a sub-micron filler system which can be highly polished and has improved bonding characteristics when used on temporary veneers, where a degree of bonding is required to retain the restoration.
